Spokane Valley Urgent Care Doctors Warn People of Heat Exhaustion

California becomes much warmer than Washington during the summer, but temperatures in Spokane can get pretty high as well. Doctors in a Spokane Valley urgent care center warn that you do not necessarily have to be engaged in strenuous activities like hiking to suffer from heat exhaustion. Even the simple act of attending to your garden could trigger a dangerous rise in your core body temperature. Common symptoms of heat exhaustion include nausea, dehydration, dizziness, headaches, muscle cramps, heart palpitations, and profuse sweating. If you experience these symptoms, take a break from your activities and enter a shaded and well-ventilated area, preferably an air-conditioned room. You should also adequately rehydrate with either water or a sports drink.
